Hi! I'm Winston.

I'm a professional photographer, avian conservationist, and electrical engineering student at Columbia University.

9 years of experience.

I love hiking, and it comes naturally with my love of all sorts of birds and landscapes

Fieldwork

I have volunteered with numerous NYC-based avian conservation groups, including NYC Bird Alliance, NYC Plover Project, and the Wild Bird Fund.

I am also the conservation lead for Columbia University's birding club, and am currently leading an independent research project on reducing collisions at Columbia's campus.

My vision

Engineering belongs in conservation.

Modern-day conservation science is very good at documenting what is going wrong, but it is weaker at building solutions that fix it.

We've gotten so good at documenting population collapses around the world that we've forgotten to stop them.

I want to change that, and I believe it starts with birds :)
